T-Rex has finally decided to start using his potty. For months he’s been sitting on his little potty and “practicing”, but he’s always been too afraid to go. He’s finally overcome his fear, and we’ve had tremendous success! At home. T-Rex is terrified of the big potty. He tries to convince me not to use it. [...] T-Rex is sick. He woke up today and said his eyes hurt, but nothing else seemed to be wrong. On the way to preschool he told me his eyes were “all better”. He had a pretty good day other than not being able to fall asleep at nap time. About 30 minutes before I picked [...] Returning to work after having a baby is hard enough, but questions you receive from your peers can make the transition much harder. A simple question like “who’s keeping the baby?” can reveal a person’s judgement on your return to work. You’ll know it by the sound of their voice. Some of my (not so) [...] I made the worst mistake a breastfeeding mom can make who leaves her child at daycare all day. I completely forgot to put my breastmilk in the refrigerator when I got home from work Friday. Saturday morning I decided I need to freeze what milk I had and I didn’t even get the refrigerator door [...] I picked Little Man up from daycare after work, and I realized while talking to his daycare provider I was constantly kissing his head. I told her I was trying to make up for all the missed kisses. She said, “Oh don’t worry, he gets plenty of kisses through the day”. I was talking about me! [...] I still can’t believe T-Rex goes out into the world to do things without his mommy and daddy. Sometimes he is mature beyond his years, but at all times, he’s only 2. It’s hard to concentrate at work on field trip days. If the kids are scheduled to be back at 11:00 am, I’m still panicking [...] |
